We threw Avett a Lightning McQueen themed birthday party for his second birthday. Unlike the year before, where Kathryn and I spent weeks pinteresting and crafting, this year we had a ton of decor just given to us by my cousin who had used it all for her son's 3rd birthday! The only crafting I had to do was make some paper construction cones and decorate a cake. Avett loved it all -- mostly all of the new cars that he got as "bonus decorations". Our gang was a little smaller this year -- my parents, Laura and Woody, Kathryn, Aaron's parents, Jesse, Ashley and Max. Although there were fewer guests, the presents remained plentiful. We had to kick Kathryn out of the house just so we had an extra room to put it all!!! ;-) we are grateful for having a family that so greatly loves our baby and helps spoil him with so much fun!
