Updates

I am really winning this parenting gig! I am here to update Avett's 2.5 year info on the same day that Haddie turns 4 months old, which means Avett will be 2 years and 7 months just next week! So because I'm so on top of things, it would make sense that's Aaron and I would forget Haddie's 4 month appointment! For some reason we both swore that her appointment was tomorrow because for whatever reason we both thought it was on the same day that we head up north for Thanksgiving. I'm so frustrated with our lack of organization lately. Today's appointment was important in order to determine if Haddie had been gaining weight appropriately now that she is back to nursing. Instead, we have to wait until DEC 19th!!! So anyways, I'm annoyed at ourselves and these updates will be brief.

Avett:
~25 pounds and 33" which are rough estimates using our own scales
- he wears 18 month pants and 18-24/2T shirts, size 8 shoes
- he is wearing size 4 diapers still
- but speaking of diapers, Avett is generally potty trained! We still put him in diapers at bed time and nap time but he rarely has accidents. For a while I was using a sticker chart and he had gone 13 days without a wet diaper or accident. We've had a few total over the month but not many.
- his favorite thing (which feels like the only thing he does) is roaring. The other day I suggested he tried hissing instead of roaring because I just can't take the noise anymore
- he likes to play with his little plastic animals, including snakes, lizards which he calls dragons, and dinosaurs. He still plays with his cars, planes and kitchen items every once in a while.
- he was on a strict oatmeal diet for a while at breakfast but had now opened up to cinnamon toast and cereal. He will only eat a peanut butter sandwich (sometimes an apple) for lunch.and it's very hit or miss if he'll eat dinner - it feels like more misses than hits usually. Surprisingly, he talks all of the time about how hungry he is. EATTTTTT! And you won't be hungry!!!!!!
- he enjoys reading lots and lots of books. And watching movies - Findinf Dory, Paw Patrol and Zootopia are his top runners.
- he does a good job with letting me brush his teeth and he likes to pick out his own clothes.
- he is still in love with his blanket.
- he usually goes to bed around 830 and wakes up around 7.
- this month he went real trick-or-treating throughout the whole neighborhood. He went as Dory and surprisingly didnanreally great job saying "Trick-or-Treat" and thanking people for his candy. He did insist on being carried the whole time, so a big thanks to Woody, who he nominated both times.

Haddie:
Haddie is a totally different baby since being on reflux medicine. She is happy and content almost always. She was a little tough to transition back to nursing and still needs a lot of help with actually getting a good seal but things seem to be going well.
She is a long baby! She wears 6 month onesies but can still fit into a 3-6 month outfit. Her torso is very long!!
We do a mix of cloth diapers and disposables. She wears a size 2 diaper.
Haddie laughed for the first time on Nov 5th
Haddie rolled over for the first time on Nov 6th from back to belly. I set her down on the ground in her nursery while I got Avett down for a nap. When I came back to her, she was on her belly and I couldn't remember for certain which way I laid her. So I turned her onto her back, went downstairs to get her bath ready and when I came back upstairs she was on her belly. After her bath, I laid her on her back again and she made me wait 45 minutes before she rolled over again. The pressure of an audience!
She loves her baths! She primarily sucks her pointer finger, and then her thumb. It used to be strictly right handed but now she's flipped to her left like her brother.
She loves to smile and talk to her mom and dad, and stares at her brother.
She still enjoys her changing table and looking at her curtains.
She also likes looking at lights and fans.
She used to hate taking her medicine and would spit it all out. She maybe still wants to but I squeeze her cheeks so she can't :) but she handles it much better. No more crying!
She goes to sleep around 8 and then I wake her up at 6 for her medicine and feed her at 630
She usually eats 4-5 oz per feeding (for her bottle feedings)
Halloween was Haddie's first 'big' holiday. She went as a strawberry and she was the cutest!
