Hot Air Balloons

We went to Waterford on Friday to partake in their Balloon fest. The weather was nice, we laid out our blanket, and watched 10 hot air balloons fill up and take off. Avett was also entertained by the helicopter that was doing circles overhead giving aerial rides. Despite being in a pull-up (I anticipated porta-pottys), Avett danced and wiggled, held onto his pee and then asked to go potty. Grossed out and not at all wanting to hold him over a pit toilet but recognizing this kids dilemma, I took him. And once inside recognized that the urinal was actually less gross and much easier, so Avy used a urinal for the first time! Then we went back out to our blanket and waited for the balloons to come back and set up for the light glow. Avy barely hung in long enough to see the coordinated glow that lit up as we were walking out with our crabby child. The glow happened and distracted him enough to forget about his tantrum, thankfully.
