8 months

We hit the eight month mark! Haddie gies by several names. Haddie Kay. Haddie Cakes. Patty Cakes. Hads. Haddie Koo. Goo. Goo girl. Smooch. Smoothie goo. Baby goo. Inch.
At the start of the week baby goo started sitting up on her own. Like being able to get into a sitting position from laying. So I would say by the sixteenth she kind of mastered that skill. On the 18th, we were face timing with Nana Cindy to show off her new sitting skills and boom all of a sudden Haddie put a motor on and started crawling from her usual kneeling statuesque position. I had to cut Nana off so that I could catch a video of it, which of course by the time I hit record, she was basically over the excitement. Now that we're a few days in, she's much more controlled but it's still a slow go, especially on the smooth floors.
She enjoys standing, holding onto our fingers or looking out the window. I've only witnessed her attempt to pull herself up with one of her toys once. I'm sure we'll be lowering the crib in no time.
Haddie is chatting up a storm! Her most favorite topic is Dada but she's finally starting to throw mom a bone every once in a while. And this girl is LOUD. High pitched and LOUD! Her and Avett love to having shouting and screeching battles. But for real, they're little convos are the cutest. Avett is the light of her life; she's totally enamored by him.
Hads just started clicking her tongue today. I don't recall Avett ever doing this. I had him try today and I'm not convinced that he has a handle on it.
Haddie is a very smiley, happy baby. Her face just squishes up with those big chubby cheeks! And she likes to tilt her head now when she smiles and chats. Just the super cutest little goo. Those cheeks get smothered in kisses all the day long! I wish I could smooch em right now!!!
Haddie has been eating lots of soft foods this month. She's tried noodles, spaghetti, rice, carrots, bananas,  bread, Rice Krispies, and pears. Her favorite, bar none, is bananas!!!! Her favorite puree is carrots. I've been really trying to let go of my need to be clean and orderly when eating. So far we've survived. Haddie's bottle feedings haven't changed much. She still eats every 3 hours. I accidentally bought multi-grain cereal instead of rice cereal and I think it's a little thicker and harder to drink so she's only taking in more like 4-6 oz instead of 6-7 oz. But then again maybe it's all of the other food she's eating. Tonight she ate for like 2 hours straight. Started with rice. Then had puréed carrots and some steamed carrots. Puffs. Cereal. And then 4 oz of milk.
She generally takes about three naps a day, with her long one usually around 930-10 in the morning. She's usually napping or just getting up from a nap when I get home from work. And then I put her down for a quick nap around 430ish. And then she's usually going to bed around 630-7. Sometimes later if I just wanna snuggle her longer!
She enjoys her activity table, her "vanity" toy, her stroll along puppy, Avetts toys, looking out the window, puffs, and holding her own spoon. Every once in a while she still gets excited to lay in her changing table, but it's nothing like it used to be. She also fancies her puppy something fierce.
