At 19 months, Avett's eating is beginning to wax and wane a little bit again. He's trying to be pickier. I'm still sticking to two chances and you're out of luck. But Avett's still sticking to his guns some of the time.
In regards to baths, Avett has fully regressed back to hating them. Whatever, be the smelly kid. I'll still love you!
Avett is becoming more aware of going potty in his diaper. He likes to grab hold of his diaper and try to see what's going on. He hasn't quite figured out the warning signs of it coming until it's happening and he doesn't have the words to tell us when he has to go, so we're waiting on potty training but hoping its in the months to come.
He has expanded his list of animal noises to include an elephant and a cat (both are pretty bad interpretations, but he raises his hand(s) in the air like its a trunk so it's entertaining nonetheless). He also says "ho, ho, ho" at Santa, "go, go, go" at Harken, and "no, no, no" to a lot of things. He says "wa" for water, and for whatever reason "dah" means head. He's really jibber jabbering away and I sure do wish I knew what he was saying.
He can identify his head, eyes, ears, nose, mouth, tongue, belly button, hands and feet.
He is better at going down the stairs, but given my terrible childhood history with stairs, I'm an overbearing safety freak and always keep my hands on him.
He likes interactive play songs like "wheels on the bus", "the hokey pokey", "patty cake" and "head, shoulders, knees and toes".
He still enjoys listening to books, especially the long ones.
He likes to dance and spin in circles. His favorite song is The Office soundtrack.
He's fairly moody at breakfast and diaper changes, but he always gets excited to see his mom and dad.
