Developmental changes: waving both at the wrist and with the open-close fist and facing the other person, puts a little jog into his step every once in a while, throws a ball with relatively good aim and distance for a one year old, gives kisses but mostly when he's confined to his high chair or swing, says "woof woof" and "uh-oh" kinda, "reads" his books and usually holds it in the correct orientation, helps with turning pages when he's read to. He is shy around other babies and toddlers but eventually warms up. Tried pineapple and watermelon now that they're in season, and he loves them. Upgraded his Cheerios to Honey Nut Cheerios this time around and he's pretty into that, too.
Avett is now drinking Vitamin D milk from a sippy cup and has completely weaned from breastmilk. I'm thinking of writing a separate post in regards to that because it was much more difficult done than said, including the emotional toll it took on me.
Likes: reading, honey nut Cheerios, throwing the ball for Harken, sometimes chasing the ball that he throws for Harken, waving, his airplane swing, his water table and sandbox
Dislikes: not a whole lot of things that he really consistently throws fits over, thankfully
