Maxwell & Avett

This past weekend the Yoopers (Roberts family) came down and hung out with us. Saturday morning we loaded everyone up and went to the zoo. We have a bike cart that converts to a stroller, fit for two, and the boys gave it a try. They were totally skeptical of having to sit next to this other baby, but they didn't fuss. We found out a little too late that it was "Boo at the Zoo" when we noticed all of the kids wearing costumes. I knew the zoo hosted this, I just assumed it would be on Halloween since it's actually on a weekend this year. Oh well, the kids were none the wiser. And even though they weren't dressed in costume, they were wearing matching monster shirts so they were still very adorable. The zoo was fun this time around. They had spruced the whole place up with lots of Halloween decor and the most insane pumpkin carvings. We made it out in the nick of time, just as it started to rain.

We spent the rest of the afternoon at our house. We had snacks and pizza while the boys watched the MSU game. And Aaron fixed us some Moscow Mules that we became obsessed with after they were served at my cousins wedding.  The babes played the rest of the night. Maxwell was having a field day with all of these new toys to play with, and Avett was figuring out how to share his toys with someone else.

Sunday was GorGeOUs!!!! We went for a walk along the Menominee River in Tosa. We started downtown and made our way up to Hoyt Park where there were some beautiful colored trees and a little park. It was early so everything was dew-filled. The boys were zoning out, ready for naps, so we bypassed the playground and turned back for downtown. We decided to get brunch at Cafe Bavaria. The boys were fast asleep when we got there, but the weather was on our side. We were able to sit outside on the patio, keeping the boys snugged up in their stroller. We had some fantastic bloodies with our breakfasts.

After breakfast, we headed for home so the Roberts could make their way up north again. We had a blast together!
